Arusha Coffee & Tacos | Our Story

From a Tunis café to Belton

From a Tunis café to Belton

It started with Hatem Chouchane's very first job, in a small café in Tunis. That's where coffee and hospitality took hold.

Texas and the wait

Hatem moved to Texas to study at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Then he spent more than 15 years in the service industry, learning and waiting for the right opportunity.

The leap

Heidenheimer Coffee Co. went up for sale, and Hatem went for it. Three months of renovations later, we opened our doors.

The room

We're in a historic building in downtown Belton, with brick walls and wood floors. Head up to the indoor balcony on the second story.
Tacos and coffee, together

Tacos and coffee, together

Get the breakfast tacos, made fresh when you order, and a coffee from beans we roast in-house. That pairing is the whole idea.
